Condor Paipa Project

Supports community leaders at departmental meeting

FEATURED NEWS

At Dewhurst Group we believe in sport!

That's why we delivered sports uniforms to the Real Cruz de Murcia community soccer team, made up of young people from the Venta de Llano and Cruz de Murcia neighborhoods, who embody discipline, effort, and teamwork.

United for the community!

The inauguration of the El Chital neighborhood's landmark plaque is a testament to how collaborative work between the community, institutions, and businesses can transform territories.
At Dewhurst Group – Proyecto Cóndor Paipa, we are proud to have contributed to the construction of this road in the El Chital neighborhood, Paipa, which connects the community with the Venta de Llano and Firavitoba neighborhoods, paving the way for education, mobility, and development.

In the Pantano de Vargas area

Recognized for its historical value, located next to the Monument to the 14 Lancers, the Heroes of Boyacá, we shared a meeting with the community and its JAC president, Deisy Hurtado 🌿🤝.
This opportunity provided an opportunity to learn about the history of the village, its community functioning, and its agroindustrial development initiatives, strengthening the vision of a sustainable future in the area.
For Dewhurst Group, through the Cóndor Paipa Project, territorial recognition and collaborative work with communities are the foundation for moving toward clean energy and local development solutions 💚. Furthermore, the Cóndor Paipa Project in this area will pave the way for the development of various productive projects that will directly benefit the communities.

Boyaca Miners' Strike

Dewhurst Group stands in solidarity with the concerns of all workers and members of the Cundiboyacense mining community. We recognize the current situation and share the country's goal of moving toward a Just Energy Transition for all, as we firmly believe that this, in addition to being a global necessity, represents a great opportunity for Colombia. Therefore, we highlight geothermal energy as a key alternative for this transition, as it produces clean, baseload energy, independent of weather conditions and with low environmental impact, becoming a strategic ally to guarantee energy security and confront climate change. As the national government maintains, our country has the opportunity to be at the forefront of global transformations: "With volcanoes in our territory, we must invest in geothermal energy to avoid falling behind the world.

Supporting tradition and history

Dewhurst Group joined the cultural and community activities held as part of the commemoration of July 25th in Pantano de Vargas.
Supporting community-driven collective memory initiatives is a priority for us, as they strengthen integration and the social fabric.
Every year, the cavalry parade of the liberating feat is recreated as a way to remember the patriotic event that links Paipa to Colombian history.
We recognize the courage, leadership, and vision of the communities in this territory, and therefore hope to contribute to the social well-being of its inhabitants. Geothermal energy development is power to the people.

Committed to the history and future of Paipa

Committed to the history and future of Paipa
On July 25th, Dewhurst Group had the honor of participating in the commemoration of the Battle of Pantano de Vargas, an emblematic event held in the municipality of Paipa, Boyacá—a key territory in the history of Colombia's independence.

During this ceremony, we paid tribute to the courage of those who forged our freedom and recognized the importance of this place as the cradle of great transformations for the country.

206 years later, we reaffirm our commitment to Paipa, working alongside the community and local institutions to build a sustainable development model centered on geothermal energy. This renewable and constant source represents a unique opportunity to drive a cleaner, more innovative, and more prosperous future for all.

🌋 Paipa, a geothermal paradise in the heart of Colombia, is today a symbol of history and energy hope.

Geothermal energy with a purpose: building roads with the community

At Dewhurst Group SAS, we firmly believe that purposeful energy can transform territories. That's why every step of the Cóndor Paipa Geothermal Project is built hand in hand with the communities.

This week, our team visited the village of El Chital, in the municipality of Paipa, Boyacá, where we reaffirmed our social and territorial commitment. Along with Jairo Cuchivaque, president of the Community Action Board, we participated in the progress of the 100-meter concrete slab construction project, a tertiary road that will directly benefit more than 600 families in the area.

This meeting was led by Warren T. Dewhurst, Marck Vargas Kolesnikov, and the entire Dewhurst Group Colombia team, who shared this joint achievement with the community.

🛣 The official delivery of the road is scheduled for August 9th and represents more than an infrastructure improvement: it is a demonstration of the positive impact we seek to generate at every stage of the project.

💚 Geothermal energy for development.
💚 Communities driving change.
💚 Territories advancing toward a sustainable future.

Another step towards the country's energy transition!

Dewhurst Group Present at the First Geothermal Forum in Colombia

On June 17, Dewhurst Group actively participated in the First Geothermal Forum in Colombia, a key forum for strengthening the development of this renewable energy source in the country.

During the event, we shared our experience with the Cóndor Paipa Project, the first geothermal plant under development in Colombia, reaffirming our commitment to a clean, consistent, and sustainable energy transition.

The forum was organized by the Colombia Geothermal Cluster and brought together national and international experts, government representatives, academic institutions, and key industry players, such as the World Energy Council Colombia, the Externado de Colombia University, and ProColombia.

Events like this strengthen collaboration and knowledge exchange to continue positioning geothermal energy as a driver of energy innovation and territorial development in Colombia.

We celebrate children's talent through the Cóndor Paipa Fable Contest!

This May 17th, we experienced a very special moment during the awards ceremony for the Cóndor Paipa Children's Fable Contest, an initiative promoted by the Dewhurst Group to promote creativity, love of nature, and the strengthening of values among children in Paipa.
We invite boys and girls between the ages of 10 and 14 to let their imaginations run wild and write stories that invite us to care for the environment, work as a team, and dream of a better future.
For the Dewhurst Group, working for children is a priority. We believe in their capacity to transform the world, and that's why we are committed to creating spaces that inspire the next generations of geoscientists, writers, leaders, and dreamers in Paipa.
The warmth of the Earth drives us... and so does the human warmth of this community that believes in education, culture, and sustainable development.
Thank you to every child, family, and school that participated in this contest! Paipa Academic School, Jac, Chital Vereda
We will continue working together to make Paipa a geothermal paradise with opportunities for all.
