In the Pantano de Vargas area
Recognized for its historical value, located next to the Monument to the 14 Lancers, the Heroes of Boyacá, we shared a meeting with the community and its JAC president, Deisy Hurtado 🌿🤝.
This opportunity provided an opportunity to learn about the history of the village, its community functioning, and its agroindustrial development initiatives, strengthening the vision of a sustainable future in the area.
For Dewhurst Group, through the Cóndor Paipa Project, territorial recognition and collaborative work with communities are the foundation for moving toward clean energy and local development solutions 💚. Furthermore, the Cóndor Paipa Project in this area will pave the way for the development of various productive projects that will directly benefit the communities.

Boyaca Miners' Strike
Dewhurst Group stands in solidarity with the concerns of all workers and members of the Cundiboyacense mining community. We recognize the current situation and share the country's goal of moving toward a Just Energy Transition for all, as we firmly believe that this, in addition to being a global necessity, represents a great opportunity for Colombia. Therefore, we highlight geothermal energy as a key alternative for this transition, as it produces clean, baseload energy, independent of weather conditions and with low environmental impact, becoming a strategic ally to guarantee energy security and confront climate change. On July 25th, Dewhurst Group had the honor of participating in the commemoration of the Battle of Pantano de Vargas, an emblematic event held in the municipality of Paipa, Boyacá—a key territory in the history of Colombia's independence.
During this ceremony, we paid tribute to the courage of those who forged our freedom and recognized the importance of this place as the cradle of great transformations for the country.
206 years later, we reaffirm our commitment to Paipa, working alongside the community and local institutions to build a sustainable development model centered on geothermal energy. This renewable and constant source represents a unique opportunity to drive a cleaner, more innovative, and more prosperous future for all.

Geothermal energy with a purpose: building roads with the community
At Dewhurst Group SAS, we firmly believe that purposeful energy can transform territories. That's why every step of the Cóndor Paipa Geothermal Project is built hand in hand with the communities.
This week, our team visited the village of El Chital, in the municipality of Paipa, Boyacá, where we reaffirmed our social and territorial commitment. Along with Jairo Cuchivaque, president of the Community Action Board, we participated in the progress of the 100-meter concrete slab construction project, a tertiary road that will directly benefit more than 600 families in the area.
This meeting was led by Warren T. Dewhurst, Marck Vargas Kolesnikov, and the entire Dewhurst Group Colombia team, who shared this joint achievement with the community.
🛣 The official delivery of the road is scheduled for August 9th and represents more than an infrastructure improvement: it is a demonstration of the positive impact we seek to generate at every stage of the project.

Dewhurst Group Present at the First Geothermal Forum in Colombia
On June 17, Dewhurst Group actively participated in the First Geothermal Forum in Colombia, a key forum for strengthening the development of this renewable energy source in the country.
During the event, we shared our experience with the Cóndor Paipa Project, the first geothermal plant under development in Colombia, reaffirming our commitment to a clean, consistent, and sustainable energy transition.
The forum was organized by the Colombia Geothermal Cluster and brought together national and international experts, government representatives, academic institutions, and key industry players, such as the World Energy Council Colombia, the Externado de Colombia University, and ProColombia.
Events like this strengthen collaboration and knowledge exchange to continue positioning geothermal energy as a driver of energy innovation and territorial development in Colombia.
