Selected
PROJECTS

Below is a selection of notable geothermal projects in which we have had the privilege of participating. Each of these projects reflects our comprehensive approach and experience in management, financing, technical evaluation, and compliance with environmental and social regulations. Through our participation, we have worked to ensure the success of initiatives that contribute to the development of clean energy, driving sustainability and innovation in the geothermal sector globally.

GETERMEX (Mexican Geothermal Generation S.A. de C.V.)

Generation capacity: 20 MWe

Amount in dollars: $10.5 M

DG oversaw the GETERMEX project through the various stages and components of the limited resource financing for the 20 MWe geothermal project, with a focus on risk mitigation during the exploration phase, particularly for the first three drill wells. DG supported initial appraisal and underwriting, financial and technical risk analysis, and monitoring, ensuring ongoing compliance with financial standards such as Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) processes for the project sponsor, key project executives, and suppliers. Additionally, DG ensured compliance with international environmental and social standards (ESIA) and facilitated risk mitigation throughout the project development.

GCA (Central American Geothermal Energy)

Generation capacity: 20 MWe

Amount in dollars: $10.5 M

DG carried out a comprehensive financial restructuring and arranged the necessary international financing for the geothermal exploration, coordinating the technological assessment and managing the relationship with the project sponsor. In addition, DG conducted an environmental and social impact assessment (ESIA), managed the project risks and oversaw the legal and financial due diligence. As part of this scope, DG drafted and negotiated the financing contracts, thus consolidating a solid framework for the success of the geothermal development.

TRANSMARK

Generation capacity: 50 MWe

Amount in dollars: $9.8 M

In this project, DG was responsible for securing financing for the early stage of a high enthalpy geothermal source, carrying out a detailed technical assessment and legal and financial due diligence. In addition, DG monitored the project's size and progress, adapting to changes and maintaining a balance between risk management and project objectives. DG's work was multifaceted, integrating technical considerations, financial restructuring and management of ownership dynamics to facilitate a robust and sustainable development. The relevance of this project lies in its contribution to clean energy generation, early-stage risk management and fostering international investment.

ENERCO (Energy Company SPA)

Project size: 110 MWe

Amount in dollars: $10.5 M

DG was responsible for structuring initial financing, mitigating risks and securing additional funding through a Continuous Financing Window, working closely with the multinational project sponsor. This work also included technology assessment, considering the binary technology option, and accommodating possible steam turbines in case of high temperatures and high flows after exploratory drilling. The complexity of the service was reflected in the integration of multinational operations and coordination of development phases, ensuring robust and strategic management of the geothermal resource.

ENDE/EMPEXA

Project size: 15 MWe

Amount in dollars: $230,000 USD

The ENDE/Empexa geothermal project involved the full management of the project life cycle, from initial assessment and financing management to regulatory compliance, grant negotiation and preparation of the final technical report. With a comprehensive approach, DG provided the necessary expertise in financial, legal, environmental and social areas, demonstrating a strong capacity in risk management. This project stood out for its complexity and its contribution to sustainable practices in geothermal development, generating a significant impact both locally and globally in the promotion of renewable energy.
