It does not represent the project's exploration area, nor does it imply that activities are taking place

Cóndor Paipa Geothermal Area

This map shows the area granted by the Ministry of Mines and Energy for exploration in the Cóndor Paipa geothermal area.

This corresponds to 9.98 km².

This delimitation establishes the perimeter within which technical studies may be carried out, aimed at characterizing and evaluating the geothermal resource.

It is important to clarify that:

It does not imply simultaneous or total intervention of the territory.

The activities in this stage are specific and will be carried out progressively and according to technical planning.

Exploratory activities will be conducted in accordance with

the environmental requirements and permits established

by the competent authority.

1. Geothermal Exploration:

Based on studies by the Colombian Geological Service and independent assessments, this initial phase will be dedicated to the identification and evaluation of the geothermal resource. These studies will determine the viability of the project, ensuring that the energy and environmental benefits are maximized.

Economic Impact and Investment Projection

The Condor Paipa Geothermal Project is designed as a strategic long-term initiative that will drive economic, energy, and social development in the region. The project represents a potential investment of up to USD 180 million throughout its various development and expansion phases, reflecting the scale and significance of this commitment to Colombia’s energy transition.

With an estimated operational lifespan of 30 years, and through sustainable management practices and responsible stewardship of the geothermal resource, the project has the potential to generate benefits for more than a century. It is expected to become a catalyst for regional development, job creation, business growth, and the attraction of new investment opportunities.

The inauguration of the El Chital neighborhood's landmark plaque is a testament to how collaborative work between the community, institutions, and businesses can transform territories.
At Dewhurst Group – Proyecto Cóndor Paipa, we are proud to have contributed to the construction of this road in the El Chital neighborhood, Paipa, which connects the community with the Venta de Llano and Firavitoba neighborhoods, paving the way for education, mobility, and development.

In the Pantano de Vargas area

Recognized for its historical value, located next to the Monument to the 14 Lancers, the Heroes of Boyacá, we shared a meeting with the community and its JAC president, Deisy Hurtado 🌿🤝.
This opportunity provided an opportunity to learn about the history of the village, its community functioning, and its agroindustrial development initiatives, strengthening the vision of a sustainable future in the area.
For Dewhurst Group, through the Cóndor Paipa Project, territorial recognition and collaborative work with communities are the foundation for moving toward clean energy and local development solutions 💚. Boyaca Miners' Strike

Dewhurst Group stands in solidarity with the concerns of all workers and members of the Cundiboyacense mining community. On July 25th, Dewhurst Group had the honor of participating in the commemoration of the Battle of Pantano de Vargas, an emblematic event held in the municipality of Paipa, Boyacá—a key territory in the history of Colombia's independence.

During this ceremony, we paid tribute to the courage of those who forged our freedom and recognized the importance of this place as the cradle of great transformations for the country.

Geothermal energy with a purpose: building roads with the community

At Dewhurst Group SAS, we firmly believe that purposeful energy can transform territories. That's why every step of the Cóndor Paipa Geothermal Project is built hand in hand with the communities.

This week, our team visited the village of El Chital, in the municipality of Paipa, Boyacá, where we reaffirmed our social and territorial commitment. Along with Jairo Cuchivaque, president of the Community Action Board, we participated in the progress of the 100-meter concrete slab construction project, a tertiary road that will directly benefit more than 600 families in the area.

This meeting was led by Warren T. Dewhurst, Marck Vargas Kolesnikov, and the entire Dewhurst Group Colombia team, who shared this joint achievement with the community.

🛣 The official delivery of the road is scheduled for August 9th and represents more than an infrastructure improvement: it is a demonstration of the positive impact we seek to generate at every stage of the project.

Dewhurst Group Present at the First Geothermal Forum in Colombia

On June 17, Dewhurst Group actively participated in the First Geothermal Forum in Colombia, a key forum for strengthening the development of this renewable energy source in the country.

During the event, we shared our experience with the Cóndor Paipa Project, the first geothermal plant under development in Colombia, reaffirming our commitment to a clean, consistent, and sustainable energy transition.

The forum was organized by the Colombia Geothermal Cluster and brought together national and international experts, government representatives, academic institutions, and key industry players, such as the World Energy Council Colombia, the Externado de Colombia University, and ProColombia.

Events like this strengthen collaboration and knowledge exchange to continue positioning geothermal energy as a driver of energy innovation and territorial development in Colombia.

We celebrate children's talent through the Cóndor Paipa Fable Contest!

This May 17th, we experienced a very special moment during the awards ceremony for the Cóndor Paipa Children's Fable Contest, an initiative promoted by the Dewhurst Group to promote creativity, love of nature, and the strengthening of values among children in Paipa.
We invite boys and girls between the ages of 10 and 14 to let their imaginations run wild and write stories that invite us to care for the environment, work as a team, and dream of a better future.
